VibTrack HAVTM Vibration Dosimeter System: The VibTrack HAVTM is a finger-mounted self contained tri-axial vibration dosimeter for personal exposure monitoring per the requirements of ISO 5349 / EU Directive 2002/44/EC and ANSI S2.70 / ACGIH TLV. The dosimeter is completely sealed in an extremely durable housing that contains the sensors, datalogger and battery – no wires or cables to snag or break! It is ATEX approved (pending) for use in hazardous locations, and can monitor continuously providing over 12 hours of exposure data.

The system consists of:

- Multiple VibTrack HAVTM dosimeters
- VibTrack DS5 Docking Station for manual or secure unattended deployment of dosimeters to workers
- Blaze® PC-based Software for Set-up, download and data analysis
- Optional CAL-VTA Hand-held Acceleration Reference Source for field verification of performance

Exposure to high levels of vibration from powered hand tools such as grinders, saws, and impact wrenches can cause negative health effects including Raynaud’s Syndrome of Occupational origin, also known as HAVS (Hand-arm Vibration Syndrome) or Vibration White-Finger disease (VWF). Daily exposure to levels at the current ACGIH TLV or European Safety Directive limits will produce potentially compensable injury in as little as 7 years for at least 10% of the workforce. The new VibTrack HAVTM is the world’s most rugged hand-mounted instrument that measures vibration directly entering the hand per ISO5349-1 and -2 and ANSI S2.70 requirements and produces detailed exposure reports for accurate risk assessment and mitigation.

Model HVM100:  The HVM100 Human Vibration Meter is a portable, hand-held measurement instrument for the following applications:

- Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) analysis per ISO 5349 and EU directive 2002/44/EC
- Whole Body Vibration (WBV) analysis per ISO 2631 and EU directive 2002/44/EC
- Reference Condition Measurement (product certification) per ISO 8662
- General Purpose vibration analysis

The HMV100 features 3 accelerometer input channels, a vector sum data channel, and a variety of weighting and band limiting filters (in accordance with above standards). It can be specified as a complete measurement system from accelerometers to reporting software and has been recognized around the world as a convenient tool for gathering exposure data in the field or making reference condition measurements in the engineering laboratory.

NEW FEATURE (Available February, 2009): The HVM100 now computes Vibration Exposure Points Values (as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive - UK) whereby a given task and tool combination is assessed a total number of ‘exposure points’ based on the measured acceleration magnitude of the vibrating tool and the duration of tool use. For Hand-arm vibration injury risk assessment, the points system provides a convenient, easily understood exposure metric.
