Model HVM100: The HVM100 Human Vibration Meter is a portable, hand-held measurement instrument for the following applications:
| - |
Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) analysis per ISO 5349 and EU directive 2002/44/EC |
| - |
Whole Body Vibration (WBV) analysis per ISO 2631 and EU directive 2002/44/EC |
| - |
Reference Condition Measurement (product certification) per ISO 8662 |
| - |
General Purpose vibration analysis |
The HMV100 features 3 accelerometer input channels, a vector sum data channel, and a variety of weighting and band limiting filters (in accordance with above standards). It can be specified as a complete measurement system from accelerometers to reporting software and has been recognized around the world as a convenient tool for gathering exposure data in the field or making reference condition measurements in the engineering laboratory.
NEW FEATURE (Available February, 2009): The HVM100 now computes Vibration Exposure Points Values (as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive - UK) whereby a given task and tool combination is assessed a total number of ‘exposure points’ based on the measured acceleration magnitude of the vibrating tool and the duration of tool use. For Hand-arm vibration injury risk assessment, the points system provides a convenient, easily understood exposure metric.
