LARSON DAVIS CALIBRATION & TRACEABILITY
Larson Davis provides calibration and certification services to original factory specifications for its products. Larson Davis is the sole
source for factory calibration and certification services.
The Larson Davis Quality System includes the calibration system, which adheres to the guidelines and requirements of ISO 17025
and ANSI Z540. The system provides the guidelines necessary to ensure that the measurement & test equipment is controlled to
ensure accurate performance.
Definition of Traceability
Traceability: the ability to show that a standard or an instrument has been calibrated or certified by a traceable standard which is
then calibrated or certified by another traceable standard and so on, thus the standard or instrument is eventually related back to
the established national standards.
Establishment or Traceability
Larson Davis uses independent test laboratories to calibrate, verify, repair and/or certify its reference standards. The laboratories
are audited at regular intervals to verify traceability to the standards maintained by the U.S. National Institute of Standards & Technology
or to other accepted physical constants.
Larson Davis instruments are traceable through an unbroken chain of comparisons to standards maintained by or traceable to the
United States National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Questions concerning the traceability of Larson Davis
calibrations or quality system may be addressed to Dave Rosen, General Manager, by
telephone or email drosen@pcb.com.
