Model 831 - Sound Recording

Sound Recording Features The Model 831, when installed with the Sound Recording Firmware, can implement digital recording of the sound signal output from the measurement hydrophone. The following features are provided:    Sample Rate: User-selected from: 48kHz 24kHz 16kHz 8kHz Recording Mode: User-selected modes from: Manual Recording: each recording is manually initiated Event Recording (ELA Firmware): recording is automatically initiated by an exceedance-based event Measurement Recording (ELA Firmware): recording is automatically initiated at the beginning of each measurement history record Range: High and Low gain settings (33dB difference)   Manual Sound Recording Manual Sound Recording: recording can be initiated with or without Time History. Source Name Markers: when used with Time History the measurement source can be selected as 'Markers' for the record for Truck; Automobile; Motorcycle; Aircraft; Exclude plus 5 others, (6-10), non-designated choices. The designated marker names can also be changed by the user Pre-trigger Time: enables the recording to include a user-selected segment of time prior to the exceedance-based trigger Recording Time: user-set recording duration Recording Initiation: manually set to record the required data (source marker) Event Sound Recording Event Sound Recording: ELA Firmware installed; to automatically initiate a recording each time an exceedance-based event is triggered via Save Snapshot mode. Snapshot Time: user-selected duration of each Event Sound Recording Pre-trigger Time: enables the recording to include a user-selected segment of time prior to the exceedance-based trigger Measurement Sound Recording Measurement Sound Recording:  ELA Firmware must be enabled for Measurement Sound Recording via the Save Snapshot mode. Snapshot Time: user-selected duration of each Measurement Sound Recording Sound Recording Playback All sound and voice recordings can be played back via a listed recording time associated with each recording.
