Model 831 - Automatic Data Logging

The features available with the Automatic Data Logging Optional Firmware are contained in the Time History mode.

Time History Data Display

The Time History Data Display shows the following measurements:

(1) Bar Graph display showing Leq data integrated over the user-selected time history

(2) Leq Numeric Value for the selected time history at the cursor position

(3) 1st time history parameter at the cursor position

(4) Date and Time at the cursor position

 In the Time History mode the Model 831 can automatically log a large number of parameters of acoustic and non-acoustic data at user-selected time intervals between 100 milliseconds and 24 hours. For time intervals less than 100ms (20ms or 50ms) a lesser amount of data can be stored.

(1) For time intervals between 100ms and 24hrs the following parameters can be stored for frequency weightings of A/C/Z:

Integrated Leq: over the user-selected run time;

Maximum Values of Lpeak; LS; LF; LI: occurring during the user-selected run time;

Minimum Values of LS; LF; LI: occurring during the user-selected run time;

(2) Instantaneous RMS values (L): for frequency weightings of A/C/Z and selected Slow/Fast/Impulse detectors.

(3) Industrial Hygiene: Ltwa1 and Ltwa2 time-weighted averages associated with Dose 1 and Dose 2 exchange rates and thresholds.

(3) Specialized Taktmaximal 5: (German requirement) over the user-selected run time for selected A frequency weighting and the Fast detector

(4) 1/1 and 1/3 Octave Spectra of Instantaneous Level; Leq; Lmax; Lmin: over the user-selected run time (with OBA firmware installed)

(5) Non-acoustic data: Battery Level/External Power/Internal Temperature and PRM2102 External Microphone Internal Temperature and Humidity and External Transducer inputs of Wind Speed/Wind Direction/Temperature/Humidity
