          Model 831 Data Displays

The Instrument Software supports the organization and display of the measurement data such that the interpretation of measurement data is a logical and simple task for the end-user. The software provides multiple display choices by the use of simultaneous measurement parameters for frequency weightings and detector selection. The Data Displays show the following basic SLM measurements:

(1) Bar Graph display showing 1second Leq data over the last    120seconds

(2) Leq Numeric Value for selected frequency weighting (A/C/Z) and        1 second integration time

(3) User Selected SLM Parameters

(4) Measurement Elapsed Time

The Data Display options consist of:

(1) Live Display Page, where the displayed measurements are always active, real-time data. The selectable SLM parameters consist of:

Leq: with selectable A/C/Z frequency weighting;
Instantaneous RMS Levels (L):  with selectable Slow/Fast/Impulse detectors and A/C/Z selectable frequency weighting;
Peak Levels: with selectable A/C/Z frequency weighting;

(2) Overall Display Page, where the displayed measurements are averaged over the elapsed measurements time, consisting of:

Leq: with selectable A/C/Z frequency weighting;
Peak Levels: with selectable A/C/Z frequency weighting;
Max and Min RMS Levels: occurring during the measurement period;

(3) Any Level displays of all possible selections/combinations of frequency weighting and detector selection during Live and Overall displays.
